OCR question

I have a couple of hundred pdf docs which I would like to add OCR to in order to search the contents. Is it possible to 'batch OCR' them or do I have to open each one in turn and run the OCR routine?

I have access to Acrobat 7,8 and 9.

You can batch OCR multiple files in Acrobat 9. To invoke this option, go the Document %26gt; OCR Text Recognition %26gt; Recognize Text in Multiple Files Using OCR menu. Or if you have an earlier version of Acrobat Pro., you can go to Advanced %26gt; Document Process %26gt; Batch Processing where you can define a new OCR sequence to be run on multiple files.For more information on batch processing check out Donna Baker's tutorial ''Baking Up a Batch of PDF files''.
