HELP!how to default illustrator tools?

Mimi,

You may delete your preferences. In later versions, you may hold Ctrl/Cmd+Alt/Option+Shift down while starting up Illustrator. Ctrl+Alt is Win speak, Cmd+Option is Mac speak.

HELP!how to default illustrator tools?

thx Jacob...

bt still not working...

sigh... i just want to reset my eraser to be nomal......

As stated in your other thread, your issue doesn't sound like it's caused by the eraser tool acting oddly.?There is something else going on in your file.?Attaching the file itself here might help. Or at least a file containing the shape that's bugging you.

I attached my filehere.

thanks!

i attached here again.. see if it works?

As I stated in the previous thread.... you have a stroke on the outside rounded rectangle. When you erase a portion of that rectangle the stroke is shown on the edge, that's all.

Are you expecting the object to be erased and the stroke only stay where it was rather than follow the edges of the shape?

So this is what you have to do to make it work
