Video can be view directly without issue (see link below).
I just downloaded the trial version of CS4 and it reports that the video format is unsupported.
CS3 imports the video, but the left side (about 75%) of frame is garbled. Easiest to just show this problem:

This is a 1080i video from a DVR, then processesed by VideoReDo. CS3 has worked with 720p videos that went through the same process.
CS4 reports unsupported format that CS3...Note, the video from above will play in Windows Media Player or Nero Showtime, but it won't work with QuickTime. You may need to do a save as and then open with WMP if you want to see the video.
CS4 reports unsupported format that CS3...The TRIAL version does not play mpg, H264 etc due to licensing issues.?The full version CS4 actually handles more formats that CS3.
Then there is no way for me to test without spending money on an update that may not work.
Perhaps someone here can test this?
The source is an 18MB video, 1920x1080i HDTV format mpeg link is in first post.
File played fine in CS4
Here is a stll taken from fram 00;00;02;11
I saved it as a Tiff then used photoshop to save as a jpeg.
Hope this helps: Glenn
Thanks. The photo shows an extreme interlace issue, perhaps you didn't select de-interlace?
There are probably cheaper consumer editors that will be better suited to cutting commercials out of TV shows and such.?Movie Edit Pro from Magix is one such.
